GREEK. Marble head of a woman. Circa 4th century BC. Height 16 cm. Possibly Attic. Head in fine marble of a young female with somber expression, hair in a coil around her brow. The back of the head is rough-finished, and it probably derives from a grave relief. The left side of the head is missing, slight damage to nose and chin, hard earthen deposits and some faint cleaning scratches. ($1000)
