SCYTHIANS. Gold neck torc. Circa 5th-3rd century BC. Diameter 140mm, weight 35.95 gm. A circlet of plain gold wire, the ends coiled. The torc does not fasten shut, but was merely bent around the neck. Simple, clean lines, good quality gold, a few scuff marks. ($1000)
