ROMAN. Lot of three bronze carpenter's tools. Circa 1st-2nd century AD. Heavy bi-face pickax with circular shaft hole, 270mm // Hammer head with rectangular shaft hole, 155mm // Thin-bladed adze with elliptical shaft hole, 150mm. Obviously found together, with a uniform gray-green and brown patina. Some porosity, and they show signs of considerable use. A very rare set of Roman workman's tools. Three (3) pieces in lot. ($1000)
