BYZANTINE. Bronze Crozier Finial. Circa 6th-7th century AD. Height 145mm. An open-work Greek X cross in a medallion surrounded by rayed border. A square spike for insertion in the staff. Brown and green patina, some verdigris spots // Plus a Roman-Byzantine bronze oil lamp with crescent finial, length 70mm // And a bronze roundel, 45 mm diameter, with a high relief facing head (gorgoneion?). Nice green patinas on both pieces. Three (3) pieces total in lot. ($300)
