Bronze ceremonial mace-head. Luristan, circa 1000-800 BC. A tubular, hollow-cast mace-head with flanges at top and bottom. Body flares toward the top and carries a decorative lattice pattern in upper register. Lower register decorated with a chevron pattern immediately below the central groove.
Height: 22.8cm. Green patina. Fine cleaning scratches. Intact. Cf. Calmeyer fig. 22c.
