Two silver earrings. Byzantine, 7th-10th centuries AD. Two mismatched earrings. The larger (5.0x5.2cm; 21.51g) has twisted wire work and a central globular device with granulation between two smaller, openwork ornaments with flower petal pattern and granulation. The smaller (4.3x4.5cm; 7.72g) is gilt with a large hollow ornament composed of two conjoined cone-shaped pieces decorated with a twisted wire pattern. Both with minor loss of granulation/wire ornaments, otherwise good condition.
