The note in the Vecchi auction catalogue stated: ‘This dynastic issue,of which there is recorded one other specimen, now lost, in the names of Valerian and Gallienus (PRINCIPI IVBENTVTIS, bare-headed bust r.), Bonham-Vecchi sale 7 (1982), 431, records the celebration at the Syrian capital of the first quinquennium and the consulships (IV and III respectively) of the emperors.’
