LUCANIA, Thourioi. Circa 300-280 BC. AR Nomos (22mm, 7.88 g, 8h). Head of Athena right, wearing helmet decorated with Skylla throwing stone / Bull butting right; ΘE above; in exergue, two fish swimming right, BO below . HN Italy 1870; SNG ANS –; de Luynes 595. Good VF, old cabinet tone, minor flan flaw on obverse, minor double strike on reverse. Well centered on a broad flan. Very rare with BO in exergue.
