PHOENICIA, Byblus. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (26.5mm, 12.27 g, 6h). Struck AD 215-217. Laureate bust right, slight drapery / Laureate head right of Caracalla, supported by eagle standing right; behind, altar. Prieur 1303 var. (obv. bust type and placement of altar on rev.). VF, toned, some roughness, a few minor deposits. Extremely rare, Prieur did not own this example when he published his book, and one in CoinArchives (CNG E-Sale 333, lot 206).
