Divus Marcus Aurelius. Died AD 180. AR Denarius (19mm, 3.34 g, 6h). Barbarous imitation. Laureate head right / Caius and Lucius Caesars standing facing, two shields and two spears between them; above, on left, simpulum right, and on right, lituus left. Cf. RIC I 207 (Augustus – for similar rev. type); cf. Lyon 82 (Augustus – for similar rev. type); cf. RSC 43 (Augustus – for similar rev. type). VF, toned, flan crack, some porosity and scratches. Extremely rare.
