Bareheaded, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Bust of Hermanubis right, wearing calathus, slight drapery; to right, combined caduceus/palm frond upright. Köln –; Dattari (Savio) 2623; K&G 35.79 (this coin illustrated); Emmett 1565.4 (R5 = Dattari 2623). Good Fine, dark green and reddish-brown patina, some old scratches and marks beneath patina. Extremely rare type for Pius, struck only in his regnal years 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, and 17. Only two specimens in CoinArchives from years 2 and 5.
