JUDAEA, Caesarea Maritima. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (30mm, 15.39 g, 6h). Struck AD 215-217. Laureate bust right, slight drapery / Eagle standing facing on serpent-entwined torch right, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak. Prieur 1659A; Sofaer –. Good VF, lightly toned with underlying luster, reverse slightly double struck. Struck on a broad flan. Very rare, only one known to Prieur, and eight in CoinArchives.
