JUDAEA, Caesarea Maritima. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (25mm, 14.51 g, 12h). Struck AD 215-217. Laureate head of Caracalla right, set on eagle standing right / Eagle standing facing on serpent-entwined torch right, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; between legs, bull’s head right. Prieur 1665; Sofaer 59. VF, toned with some underlying luster, obverse lamination flaw, a hint of porosity. Very rare, only six known to Prieur, and three in CoinArchives.
