Leo I. AD 457-474. AR Half Siliqua (15mm, 0.94 g, 6h). Contemporary imitation of Constantinople mint. Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right / SAL/ REI/ PVI (
sic) in three lines within wreath; CO(retrogradeN)S*. RIC X 650; cf. RSC 12†a. Near VF, toned, some deposits.
The blundered legends and the blundered mint mark, indicate that this is clearly not an official issue. Any more certain attribution is presently impossible.
