SICILY, Syracuse. Pyrrhos. 278-276 BC. Æ (24mm, 11.90 g, 11h). Head of Herakles left, wearing lion-skin / Athena Promachos advancing right, holding thunderbolt and shield; to right, small owl standing right, head facing. B&S Type 5, pl. 91, 18; BAR Issue 52; CNS 177 Rs 35/1 (same dies); HGC 2, 1450. Dark green-brown patina, slight die shift on obverse, trace cleaning marks on reverse. Good VF.
