SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Laodicea ad Mare. Hadrian. AD 117-138. AR Tetradrachm (24mm, 13.11 g, 12h). Dated year 169 (AD 122/3). Laureate and cuirassed bust right, with [gorgoneion] on breastplate / Turreted and draped bust of Tyche right; ΘΞP (date) below chin. Prieur 1108 (this coin); RPC III 3804/4 (this coin cited). Toned, some roughness, a few light scratches, a couple spots of verdigris on reverse. Good Fine. Extremely rare, only two noted by Prieur, and none in CoinArchives. Four examples cited by the authors of RPC, including this coin.
