GALBA. 68-69 AD. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.43 gm). Spanish mint (Tarraco?). Struck April-July 68 AD. GALBA IMPERAT, laureate head right; globe at point of bust / Rome standing left, foot on globe, holding branch and reverted spear. RIC I 45 var. (GALBA IMPERATOR); cf. RSC 221, 223. Toned VF, a few obverse field scatches, light encrustation on reverse. An apparently unique and unpublished variety.
