Robertson, A. S. Roman Imperial Coins in the Hunter Coin Cabinet University of Glasgow. Volume I. Augustus to Nerva. Volume III. Pertinax to Aemilian. Volume IV. Valerian I to Allectus. Volume V. Diocletian (Reform) to Zeno.. (Published for the University of Glasgow by the Oxford University Press, 1962-82). Four volumes. 8vo. 391 + 325 + 340 + 529 pages; 60 + 88 + 64 + 96 fine plates. All four volumes in the original cloth, jackets. Generally fine condition, the jackets worn at extremities and the spines of the later volumes sunned as is usual. The first volume with a few small marks and tears, one small ink ownership inscription in the third volume, the contents otherwise clean throughout. Lacking Volume II which covers Trajan to Commodus else a good set of these extensive and valuable catalogues of Roman coins. All volumes now out of print and exceptionally difficult to locate either as individual volumes or complete sets.

Clain-Stefanelli 4055*. Kroh p. 72 (four stars), “This five volume set is being more and more quoted all the time... Most of the coins are illustrated in the plates and the latest research is used in attribution and dating. Concordances are given to RIC, BMC and Cohen... Highly recommended for all serious collectors”. Website shipping rates do not apply.
