[Bound with:] Catalogue of a Collection of Germanic Antiquities belonging to J. Pierpoint Morgan; Catalogue of a Collection of Gallo-Roman Antiquities belonging to J. Pierpoint Morgan. (Paris, 1910-1911). Three parts complete. 4to. 50 pages, 260 lots; 36 pages, 410 lots; 363 lots; 20 + 32 + 28 phototype plates, the last each with page of descriptive text. All three parts printed in a limited edition of 150 copies, this set numbered 55, 55 and 29 respectively with the library stamp of Prof. M. Rostovtzeff of Yale University on the title page of each. Bound into a single volume in later blue cloth, gilt. From the library of Joel Malter with his ex-libris on the front pastedown. Fine condition, light shelf wear, external damage to the spine and boards of the binding, else little used and internally clean, bright and almost as new. Important, expertly catalogued records of these remarkable collections, formed by one of the foremost collectors of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, now housed in the Metropolitan Museum, New York.
