Nr. XLVI. Griechische Münzen. Sammlung des Herrn Theodor Prowe, Moskau. Part III. (11 May 1914). 4to. 131 pages, 2805 lots; 43 plates.
The first sale bound in quarter morocco and cloth boards, the second and third bound together in full cloth, black morocco title label to spine, lettered in gilt with both sales handpriced throughout. The final sale recently bound in quarter cloth and paper backed boards. All three volumes from the library of Joel Malter with his ex-libris in each, the last also from the library of Ionnis Heller with his ex-libris on the front pastedown. Fine condition, the binding of the first sale chipped and worn with some loss to the spine, the other volumes lightly worn, a few pages spotted and browned with some creasing else a good set of important sales.
Clain-Stefanelli 1759, 3651 & 1991. Spring 150, 154 & 157 with both sales listed under the “Most important sales of Roman Imperial coins” & 159, listed under the “Most important sales of ancient Greek coins” and “Most important sales of Roman Provincial coins”.
