LUCANIA, Velia. Circa 300-280 BC. AR Nomos (23.5mm, 7.47 g, 7h). Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with wreath / Lion walking right; in exergue, grape bunch hanging from vine. Williams 385a (O193/R271) = Nantueil 195 (this coin); HN Italy 1302. Attractively toned, a few light cleaning marks under tone, small scrape in field on obverse. Good VF. Fine-style dies.
