ARABIA, Northwestern. Lihyan. 3rd-2nd centuries BC. AR Drachm (13mm, 3.64 g, 9h). Imitating Athens. Helmeted head of Athena right, with frontal eye; monogram on cheek / Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig and crescent to left; all within incuse square. Cf. CNG E-162, lot 113 corr. (not Sabaean letter D on cheek), otherwise unpublished in the standard references. Some find patina remaining, struck with worn reverse die. VF. Extremely rare.
