SICILY, Katane. Circa 435-412 BC. AR Tetradrachm (25mm, 17.00 g, 9h). Reverse die “signed” by the "Maestro della foglia". Charioteer driving slow quadriga right; above, Nike flying right, crowning horses / Laureate head of Apollo right; [laurel leaf and berries to right]. Mirone 51; HGC 2, 569 (same dies as illustration); Rizzo pl. XII, 4 (same dies). Attractively toned, fields heavily smoothed above horses, off center on reverse. VF. Very rare.
