SELEUKID EMPIRE. Seleukos I Nikator. 312-281 BC. AR Drachm (16mm, 4.11 g, 10h). Uncertain mint 19 (Mint A) in Baktria (Baktra?). Struck circa 288/7-281 BC. Laureate head of Zeus right / Athena, brandishing spear, shield on left arm, in quadriga of elephants right; monogram and anchor above, monogram-in-circle to lower right. SC 261b; SMAK MAD-8 (this coin); HGC 9, 32d. Toned, granular surfaces, slightly off center on reverse. Good VF. Very rare.
