NABATAEA. Rabbel II, with Gamilat. AD 70/1-105/9. AR Drachm (15mm, 3.40 g, 12h). Petra mint. Uncertain RY date, circa RY 11-17 (AD 80-7). Laureate and draped bust of Rabbel II right; [date to left] / Veiled and draped bust of Gamilat right. Cf. Barkay, Coinage 10–3; cf. Meshorer, Nabataea 149–51; DCA 985. Toned, area of weak strike, a bit off center. VF.

Although the date is off the flan, the version of the obverse legend here debuted in Rabbel’s year 11. The style of the bust is also fine, which is consistent with drachms issued through Rabbel’s year 17, after which time the engraving became quite crude.
