SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Antioch. Trajan. AD 98-117. AR Tetradrachm (27mm, 14.48 g, 6h). Struck AD 98-99. Laureate head right / Eagle standing facing on palm frond right, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak. McAlee 435; Prieur 1490/1492 (Tyre; obv./rev.); RPC III 3520/2 (this coin cited). Toned, light porosity, graffiti on obverse. VF. Very rare, only one example of this reverse known to Prieur, four in CoinArchives, and seven specimens cited by the authors of RPC, including this coin.
