SELEUCIS and PIERIA, Emesa. Julia Domna. Augusta, AD 193-217. AR Tetradrachm (26mm, 14.03 g, 1h). Struck circa AD 215-217. Draped bust right, wearing stephane / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak; between legs, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Shamash left. Prieur 949 var. (without A on reverse?). Toned, porous. VF. Extremely rare, Prieur did not own this example when he published his book, and none in CoinArchives.
