MESOPOTAMIA, Carrhae. Macrinus. AD 217-218. AR Tetradrachm (25mm, 13.48 g, 12h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Eagle standing facing on bull’s head flanked by pellets, head right and tail left, with wings spread, holding wreath in beak. Prieur 826. Toned with underlying luster, some minor porosity, copper oxide deposits on the reverse. Good VF. Fine style portrait.
