LANCASTER. Henry VI. First reign, 1422-1461. AR Halfgroat (21mm, 1.89 g, 10h). Henry V Class G/Annulet issue mule. Tower (London) mint; im: pierced cross. Struck 1422-1427. Crowned facing bust within tressure of arches / Long cross pattée with triple pellets in each quarter; annulets in second and third quarters. MHG 5/8; cf. Potter IXb/Whitton, Heavy – (for obv./rev.); cf. North 1393/1428 (same); cf. SCBC 1775/1839 (same). A little weak in parts. Toned. VF. Bold portrait. Rare mule, MHG lists only 5 such mules out of 116 annulet halfgroats seen.
