CELTIC, Danube Region. Imitating Philip II of Macedon. Circa early 3rd Century BC. AR Tetradrachm (13.86 gm). Laureate head of Zeus right / Youth on horseback right, holding palm; bucranium below. Cf. CCCBM I 4; cf. Kostial 353; cf. Göbl, OTA 14. A fairly close imitation of the original of Philip from Amphipolis (Le Rider 209). Good VF, faint scratches. ($400)
