AITOLIAN LEAGUE. Circa 260-220 BC. AR Didrachm or Stater (10.58 gm). Laureate and diademed head of young man right; FI below / Aetolos standing left, holding spear and sword, resting foot on rock. Scheu, "Coinage Systems of Aetolia," NumChron 1960, monogram 16; BMC Thessaly pg. 195, 9. Attractively toned, nice VF, some flatness on the reverse, glossy surfaces probably lacquered (removable).
