Y. Meshorer published one Nabataean lead coin in his 1975 corpus, of the type head of king right / Nike left. Since that date a few more pieces have been found in archaeological excavations, and several small groups have appeared in the market. Oliver Hoover will be summarizing the current state of our knowledge of these obscure items in an article in the forthcoming Israel Numismatic Journal, where the present specimens are listed among the sixty pieces recorded. This lot comprises most of the known Nabataean lead coins in private hands.
