DIOCLETIAN. 284-305 AD. Æ Follis (11.61 gm). London mint. Struck circa 297 AD. Laureate head right / Genius standing left, holding patera and cornucopiae; LON. RIC VI 1a. EF, silvered, minor porosity. Portrait reminiscent of Allectus. Very rare with LON mintmark. ($500)

This is the first London issue following the reconquest of Britain by Constantius I and is the first ever use of the LON mintmark.
