SVRAKOSIWN, head of Athena left, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with serpent, palmette, and vegetative tendrils; IM below neck truncation (signature) / Facing aegis with gorgoneion in center. The other known specimen appeared as lot 27 in Classical Numismatic Group XXVI (11 June 1993). The master engraver IM is also known to have engraved Syracusan tetradrachms during this same period (see Tudeer 67).
