KINGS of ELYMAIS. Uncertain King. Late 1st century BC-early 1st century AD. Billon Tetradrachm (15.42 gm). Diademed bust left; behind, four-pointed star in crescent above pellet and anchor symbol / Crude diademed bust left, degraded legend. Cf. Alram pg. 146, NB 1; cf. Le Rider, Suse pl. LXXIII, 3-4; BMC Arabia -; cf. De Morgan pl. XXXVI, 2-3 (Kamnaskires D -- called C in text). Toned, good VF. ($200)

Ex Vecchi 16 (9 October 1999), lot 304.

Based on style, it is possible that this coin is of the same king as the prior two lots. The slightly cruder style and more garbled legend, though, would likely render it a later issue.
