HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS P P, bare head right / COS III, cult statue of Artemis Ephesia standing facing, extending hands and flanked by stags and thymiateria. RIC II 489; Metcalf, Cistophori 88, 327 (O2/R2) = SNG von Aulock 6622 (this coin); Pinder 69; BMCRE 1061; RSC 319. Toned, good VF, minor scratches from old cleaning. Overstruck on a cistophorus, probably of Vespasian. ($2000)
