THRACE, Odessus. Gordian III. 238-244 AD. Æ Pentanummia (27mm, 11.09 gm). Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian right vis à vis turreted and draped bust of Serapis, wearing modius, left; cornucopiae at shoulder / Athena standing right, holding reverse spear and shield. Mouchmov 1657; cf. Mionnet Suppl. II, pg. 360, 943 (Athena holding spear and patera). Good VF, nice green patina.
