CELTIC, Britain. Atrebates. Commios. Circa 50-40 BC. AR Unit (0.77 gm). Ladder Head Type. Celtic head left with two-pin lips and vertical lentoid eye with small phallic face and ringed-pellets in front / Horse left with double stranded tail. Hobbs 731; Van Arsdell 355-1; SCBC 69. VF, well centered head with phallic face visible. Very rare. ($300)

Most specimens do not reveal the concealed phallic face as prominently as this.
