CELTIC, Britain. Trinovantes. Dubnovellaunos. Circa 25-10 BC. AV Stater (5.51 gm). Branch Type. Banded flan with wreath motif, two outline crescents and two ringed-pellets in centre, forming two ‘sad’ hidden faces, ring at end of wreath / Full-bodied Celtic horse prancing left with beaded mane and long high-arched tail, ringed-pellet above, wavy branch below, pellet in front, DV[B]NOVELL[AVN] around. Hobbs 2425-40; Van Arsdell 1650; SCBC 207. Near VF, golden gold, great horse. ($1000)

Found Maldon, Essex.
