Durotrigan wreath pattern with upward-facing leaves / Triple-tailed disjointed Celtic horse left, large blobs above, ‘coffee bean’ behind, large pellet below. Cranborne Chase staters of a similar weight and appearance in the Corfe Common (Dorset) hoard contained between 10% and 15% gold (Hobbs 2525-2546), and thus it is likely that this coin may have a similar alloy.
