Found Dorset Settlement Site, circa August 1999.The Hengistbury series of Durotrigan bronzes were all cast, not struck, and in most cases you can see the casting sprues on the edge. They are named after Hengistbury Head in east Dorset where they were minted and where many were found during excavations in 1911-12 (Bushe-Fox), 1970-71 (Peacock), and 1979-84 (Cunliffe).
