(same); RSC 50 var. (same). Good VF, porous. Apparently unrecorded with these spellings. ($1000)

In his review of the denarii of Pescennius Niger ("The Denarii of Pescennius Niger," in The Presidents Address, NumChron 1992, pg. iv-xxii), Buttrey recorded a specimen with the reverse legend MARTI VLTORI with a similar reverse type as this specimen, except the shield and spear are reversed.
