Ex Lakeview Collection.
The letters SF (sacris faciundis) indicate the Petillii were hereditary caretakers of the temple of Jupiter. Horace mentions a man of this name, accused of stealing the (presumably gold) crown from the statue of Jupiter, who escaped punishment due to his close relationship with Octavian.
