SICILY, Panormos. Punic Occupation. Circa 425-300 BC. AR Tetradrachm (16.98 gm). Struck circa 340-320 BC. Charioteer driving quadriga left, holding kentron and reins; above, Nike flying right, crowning charioteer; Punic "SYS" in exergue / Head of Arethusa left, wearing triple-pendant earring and necklace, four dolphins swimming around. Cf. Jenkins I 66/67 (O17/R54 - unlisted die pairing); cf. SNG ANS 540; SNG Lloyd 1586 (same obverse die). Good VF. ($1500)
