Laureate head of Zeus right / Athena Promachos, brandishing spear and holding shield, in quadriga drawn by elephants right; anchor and monogram above, Q behind Athena. SC 130.33a; ESM 74 (same reverse die); SNG Spaer -. Good VF, overstruck on uncertain type, attractive portrait of Zeus. Rare variety, only 4 specimens cited between Newell and SC. ($1500)
