SPAIN. Circa 1st century BC - 1st century AD. PB Tessera (49mm, 149.49 gm). Hercules, nude but for lion's skin over shoulder, advancing right, holding club and leading Cerberus through the gate out of Hades; PS to right / Two kaberioi pouring wine from amphorae into a large krater; a winged Victory flies left above, PS to right. Plomos pg. 21, 2 (listed as "unique'). VF, dark color, waxed. Extremely rare. ($2000)
Although no further legend can be read on this piece, another specimen with the Hercules scene does have the name F. Pedianus on it.
