SPAIN. Circa 1st century BC - 1st century AD. PB Tessera (22mm, 11.74 gm). Tripod(?); amphora below, star to left, wheel to right / Foot wearing a laced-up boot. Plomos pg. 25, 12 var. (no wheel). VF, grayish-brown color, waxed. Rare. ($250)

The identity of the central object on the obverse is puzzling. Although uncertain, it is similar to a tripod stand used to support wine amphorae.
