TRAJAN. 98-117 AD. Æ Sestertius (27.30 gm). Struck circa 104-107 AD. Laureate head right / Trajan standing facing on dais, head left, holding olive branch and scepter, being crowned by Victory flying left; kneeling figures on either side at feet, raising hands; all surrounded by garlanded balustrade surmounted by four eagles. RIC II 551; BMCRE 826 note; Cohen 519. Near VF, brown patina, minor spots of porosity. Very rare. ($500)
