Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / The Circus Maximus: in foreground, arcade of thirteen arches with a large arch at each end; down the centre of the circus extends the spina, tall obelisk in the middle. RIC IV 500a var. (obverse legend); BMCRE 251; Cohen 236. VF, brown and green patina, removed from a mount, for which the edges were tapped to form a raised rim. Wonderful portrait. Very rare.
