ALLECTUS. 293-296 AD. Antoninianus (4.51 gm). Londinium (London) mint. Radiate and cuirassed bust right / Pax standing left, holding [branch] and transverse sceptre; S-A/ML. RIC V 33; Burnett 44. VF, brown patina with patches of green, small pit on obverse. Overstruck on an uncertain type. ($200)
From the Tony Hardy Collection. While it appears that Pax is holding Victory on globe in her left hand, this is apparently a remnant of the undertype. Indistinct traces of previous letters are also visible around the periphery of the reverse.
